And The Winners Are

Danielle wins Out of Bounds (scrapbooking without boundaries) and La Tea Dah wins the journal. Please email me at smsummerville@hotmail.com with your mailing addresses and they will be on the way to you on Monday.

I just returned home last night very late after being away for 10 days on business (and some pleasure). I have my 3 year old grandson for a week starting today. I am preparing an arts and crafts project for us to do for Valentines Day. It has been a long time since I had a little one at home to make valentines cards with. Valentines Day to me is about LOVING not only my darling husband but my mom, my children, my grandbabies and my friends. I do not feel very prepared this year as I have no cards sent out and I am not sure what I am doing for our meals on Saturday yet...so much to do..With being away for so long before Valentines Day I should have prepared prior to leaving on the trip...but I did not.

Tell me what you have planned for Valentines Day this year. How do you celebrate it with your husband, boyfriend, children or family?

Monday we will have a new giveaway that I know you will all be excited about. I actually very excited just to share it with you.

  1. Since my birthday is the day before, and my husband's birthday is near our anniversary, we decided to "split" responsibilities for the holidays. So he finds a way to celebrate my birthday and I make sure he feels the love on V day. It always involves chocolate, usually fondue, and we'll celebrate Sunday instead of Saturday because he'll be at work all day Saturday!

  2. It'll just be the youngest 2 boys and I for the most part of the day...going grocery shopping because I haven't gone in 3 weeks...been too busy...I'll have the baby after 4.

  3. Jake, my husband, works in the oil field and is usally gone 2-3 weeks out of the month. This year he is home. That alone makes it a great day. We are going to do somethings around the house (ok, I am scrapping) and then take the kids fishing. That honestly is probably the best Valentine's I can think of. It's not just about being my husband, but my family. So I am very excited about tomorrow. And SOOOOO excited about the book. Oh my goodness, I can't wait to get it.

  4. Thank you, Susan. I am excited to win the special journal from you. Happy Valentine's to you and yours! May your day be special. Even tho you were traveling and feel unprepared, I know your loved ones will simply cherish being with you and feeling the love you share.

Today for our Valentine's Day treat --- I am baking my husband's favorite "corn custard" -- a sweet, cake and custard combination -- rich with maple syrup which he enjoys so much.

    Love
