Monday Monday

Men are anxious to improve their circumstances but are unwilling to improve themselves. They therefore remain bound.– James Allen, essayist (1864-1912)

When I told you I would post again on Monday I bet you thought I meant last Monday! I did. I have had many challenges this past week, including health and was unable to post. I am sorry I left you hanging.

When I last left you I asked you to be thinking about what you feel strongly about and what you are willing to stand up for. This is all a part of really getting to know ourselves. Many of us have never asked ourselves this question.

When I asked myself this question, I came up with many answers. Here are a few of them.

The Value of Human Life (all life)
Human Rights (including the rights of children)
My Faith
Freedom for each person.......freedom of expression, opinion, religion etc.

What about you? What are you willing to stand up for? Please share with us.

  2. I don't know that I can make a list. It would be too long! (Some of the things on your list are also on mine.)

  3. Human DIGNITY !! I see so many elderly people, poor people who are treated as "non-persons". I can really get enraged by this!!! Having aging parents, I KNOW it can get exasperating at times, and I feel impatient at times, but----my dad had 2 MASSIVE strokes when he was 55, and had to learn to swallow, talk ,walk, move & use his right side again. It taught me ALOT about being patient with folks, understanding how very important it was to him to still have his dignity---other people would get impatient and not wait for him, or would stop trying to listen to him. It really did teach me how we are all precious children of God, and all need to be treated as HUMAN BEINGS with DIGNITY !!!!!
