I ponder over ....if you tie yourself to one life...search for the perfect one....then you are limiting your possibilities. Or maybe that is my purpose, to live many different lives. There is also a difference between having different careers in a life time and living that career. Many people change careers but go home to the same life.

2. What ways have you tried to discover your life's purpose that haven't worked?

I don't think anything we try "doesn't work" it is a part of a bigger jigsaw......we needed to learn something from that experience - which is why we tried it and we take that learning onto the next thing...and we may repeat that process many times, each time adding to our jigsaw. Our lives are the experiences we have had, be they horrific or wonderful - what ever they were we needed to learn something from them and the real key is whether we become fixated on the event or use the knowledge gained to move on to the experience we need....the next bit of the puzzles of our lives.Cowspotdoghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03227650305173077541noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3277866575549932665.post-89798442450141770862009-01-13T06:27:00.000-08:002009-01-13T06:27:00.000-08:00I love that book. I tried being the good wife, good mother, good employee and wage -earner. Yes, those are fine goals, but I realize that I need most of all to be a good Christian example to Alexis.

I went through a few months of classes to find out more about my church of choice and we (Alexis and I) are now new members there. I am having her baptized in March. I jumped in and volunteered for a couple things at church. I feel so much better about myself and about the job I have raising Alexis.

Have a blessed day and thank you for these wonderful prompts ...{raisingAlexis}https://www.blogger.com/profile/16955288246645180740noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3277866575549932665.post-34742759161335803422009-01-13T06:16:00.000-08:002009-01-13T06:16:00.000-08:001. After meeting Christ, I tried to be like other Christians I wanted to emulate. Over the years, God has shown me he has a unique purpose for each one of us. Seeking to know Him is what makes me grow to be more like Him, and not concentrated on myself. Praise Him for His patience....and promise to finish the work in me despite myself. And of course I learned the purpose in answer 1 wasn't the right answer at all. I am forever learning to trust and appreciate the unique purpose He has for me, and to not let the world's opinion influence me.Lalleehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11299403428288111249noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3277866575549932665.post-83289950552572128602009-01-12T17:24:00.000-08:002009-01-12T17:24:00.000-08:00This comment has been removed by the author.Nikkihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04150480146292375942noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3277866575549932665.post-91743324535834710322009-01-12T17:21:00.000-08:002009-01-12T17:21:00.000-08:00Susan, this was such a great read so far! This is really a goal of mine this year, to get back to my faith...I've gotten away from it because of some things that happened years and years ago, but I know now more than ever that I need to get back to it. Thank you for bringing this book to my attention! I am emailing you my answers to the questions. Thanks again!Nikkihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04150480146292375942noreply@blogger.com
